Traumatismo Nacional is a sharp and deep wound represented in sound, a scar that we have carried inside for a long time and each time it hurts even more.
A deeply racist, misogynistic, violent and dark nation. People idolize monuments while despising women, the voices of their inhabitants are constantly ignored, and hopelessness has become our natural collective state of mind.
‘Musically falling somewhere between the repetitive diligence of krautrock, the tumultuous and noisier side of shoegaze, melted with post-punk dark atmospheres, Sunset Images is the brainchild project of Samuel Osorio, an Experimental/Noise Rock band based out of Mexico City.
Since it’s formation, Osorio has been unraveling the band ́s own voice, exploring with rhythmic, melodic loops and startling sound volumes, worshiping repetition, struggling with recurring line-up changes, and a never ending rotating cast of drum players.
In this daring journey, Sunset Images has become one of the most interesting discoveries in the Latin-America rising underground music scene for the display of passion and intensity, that has led them into traveling Japan, Europe, touring a great deal of America (the continent).
Sharing stages with notorious acts like Mogwai, Acid Mothers Temple, Bo Ningen and playing international festivals such as Spacefest (Gdansk, Poland) Integraciones (Lima, Peru) and Out in the Streets (New York City, USA).’

This is as good as the officially released WRNTDP titles on CIS. Very pleased to pick it up, where the pieces here are longer than most on the records they benefit from the slow unwinding they are afforded. The 18 minute live set excerpt is particularly immersive. Wouldn't be the worst idea in the world to release this on vinyl as a companion to the inevitable repressing of This Nation's Most Central Location. Great stuff. Oh and you get a cool magazine to read as well. Awesome. shaun rogan

Great record. wears it's influences proudly ..but retains a sliver of identity that is uniquely British and has a northern feel to it..I think that these geographic musical vignettes are realy evocotive of northern Newtown Uber estates and satellite communities..I hope this translates to a wider audience for him...he deserves the attention. give him his due .NOW . christopherogley
You’d expect an album titled “Velociraptor” to be heavy and this doesn’t disappoint, as it’s jam-packed with serrated noise & feedback. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 22, 2023

A raucous adventure through noise, no wave, off-kilter DIY prog, and the absurdist side of post-punk from Pagan Athletes. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 13, 2023
